1. When the final technical regulation is published

The legal framework is already approved, but the technical regulation is still pending. Once it’s published, businesses will have a transition period (usually 9–12 months) to adapt.

2. When you issue invoices

If you issue invoices—whether you’re a freelancer, a small business, or a company—you will be required to use VeriFactu-compliant software.

Who is exempt?

• People who are not required to issue invoices
• Activities that already use regulated invoicing systems (e.g., B2G electronic invoicing)

For everyone else, VeriFactu will be mandatory.
